All of this is within the town boundary of Bundarra NSW, only 1 km walking distance to the local Commercial Hotel or Bundarra Sport & Recreation Club. Fishing, kayaking, swimming and relaxing by the river is a delightful past time when the river is plentiful with water.

Unlike some small country towns thought to be in the middle of nowhere, Bundarra is different. It is in the middle of everywhere. It is situated in one of the most picturesque, heritage rich rural areas of Northern New South Wales. Yet, still boasts easy access to centres with all the modern conveniences one could hope for. Tamworth is 190km South through picturesque Uralla, Inverell 50km North, Armidale 109km South East, Barraba 70km South West and Bingara 57km North West. You could easily spend weeks exploring these places and a whole host of other delightful towns in between.

Armidale and Tamworth both have airports giving you access to Among The Willows from anywhere in Australia.

Lake Copeton (affectionately called locally ‘Copeton Dam’) is just under 32km from Bundarra and when the water supply permits it is a great place for all manner of water recreation sports, fishing, boating and relaxing for the day. When at full capacity of 100% Lake Copeton is nearly three times the size of Sydney Harbour.
