I have been so very blessed to be able to call Among The Willows my home. The peace and tranquility it has afforded me over the years has been invaluable. No matter how far I travel from home there has been no better feeling than driving through that gateway on my return. The most memorable times of my life have been when family and friends came to gather at our place and stay for any occasion. They are times that I will always treasure and I know they have left indelible memories on our loved ones who shared those moments with us.
This location is the perfect spot to hold any sort of function. We have had the honor of holding a wedding, naming day, reunions – just to name a few; for our beautiful friends and family over the years gone by. Sadly, my dreams of running a wedding venue from Among The Willows didn’t come to fruition. Despite a successful DA and a shed full of Balinese wedding furniture and hardware. I was an over zealous wife lol.
I guess sometimes dreams change, people change and life takes you on a different path. Whether that be subconsciously or via manifestations. The future is unknown to us all but we can only do our best with what life has to offer. It’s a matter of courage and faith to decipher when it is time to alter a course. It is also wisdom that is afforded in hindsight that determines if those decisions were the right ones. Who knows what lays ahead for Among The Willows, myself and my family? But, whatever happens I am extremely confident that it will be adored by many and envelop whomever may stay on the banks of the Gwydir at Among The Willows.
